Since 2015, ReConnect, Inc. has provided an annual construction safety basic training academy to men and women who face employment barriers because of limited experience or criminal history background. The trainings are provided free of charge thanks to our sponsors.
Our construction training academy was the brainchild of our Executive Director’s husband and co-founder of ReConnect, Inc. Brent Williams who has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry and is vice president of LundRoss Constructors. Lund Ross has served as a sponsor of the training academy each year.
Training is conducted by licensed and skilled professionals and includes OSHA 10 Hour Certification, First Aid, AED, & CPR Certification, Crane Signaling & Rigging, Competent Person Fall Protection & Excavation, Hazardous Communication, Power & Hand Tool Safety, Electrical Safety, Remediate, Repair, Paint (RRP) Lead Safety Training.
We recently wrapped our ninth successful year of our 5-day training. We are very proud of our participants and truly appreciate our trainers - Mike Downey Safety Consultants, FD & Associates, and Lion’s Gate - who are returning for the 7th year.
